SMC (sheet molding compounds) is a fiber reinforced thermoset material ofen used for large parts with higher strength required.the mold will need to be heated up by oil or electricity to 140~160 degree C, this is normally compression of mold, design the mold with uniform temperature will help the material fill easier and parts with less warpage, and have parts with dimensional stability and a uniform surface appearance.
